Prayers, rituals and pujas make
up an important part of the activities performed by
the monks. Study is an important part of daily life.
The course of study is based on the same traditional
monastic education system as in Tibet. However, the
curriculum is adapted to modern living with the inclusion
of English, Hindi and Math etc. Another role of the
monks is to attend to the spiritual needs of the lay
community visiting their homes and performing special
pujas and prayers as needed. |
